Day 18 &19 of awesome!

Apparently I have fallen behind with my awesome!

Sunday the 18th and the 18th day of awesome was another lovely day at the ballpark. If you haven't figured yet, that makes for automatic awesome, whether we win or not. In this case, a not...althought it broke up a 7 game win streak which was, you guessed it, awesome!!! It's just so fun to be there and enjoy the baseball!!!

Day 19 of awesome was a workday that was busy but went fast! Last night was just a nice, chilled out evening at home. Nothing extraordinary, just a good night with the family. Hoping to get out and start some chaos soon, of course I'll tell you all about it.

Day 17 of awesome!!!

So, another day spent at the ballpark, another win, another green cap. But, now the season is coming to an end, always one of the most depressing days of the year, no seriously. You don't understand how serious I am about my Royals baseball, well, baseball in general. It was hard to peel me away from the TV during last years playoffs/world series. I love that game.

Had lunch with mom and sis which was...interesting. I'll elaborate more on my other blog, lol. Other than that, I got to sleep until almost noon....haven't done that in a LONG while!!! It was so nice! Now, I get to sleep and then head out for some Sunday afternoon baseball...one of my favorite types of games!!! Man, I love this sport!!

Day 16 of Awesome!!!

So, I had to wait to publish last night and then fell asleep!! The awesome yesterday was The Royals won and I got to see the last firework friday of the season :( but the Omaha StormChasers also won which made them the PCL Champions!! They will be in the AAA World Championship game on Tuesday vs the Columbus Clippers!! Go StormChasers!!

The futures night was last night and as anyone who knows me should know, I'm a HUGE Royals fan but this year I've also started following the farm system! I've really gotten into stats and I'm so excited about the future of our boys in blue!!! Even though our win/loss ratio doesn't show it, we have been playing excellent ball this year, especially since the All-Star game!!

So, headed out to the K for Halfway to St. Paddy's Day!! Can't wait, go Teaford!!! Watched him pitch in Omaha at the beginning of the year, all these guys I saw in Omaha have made it here, seriously, I have watched no less than 8 of the players I saw in April in Omaha play big league ball @ the K...so awesome!!!

Anyway, there is my delayed day 16 of awesome! Have an awesome day 17 with me, ok!!!

Day 15 of awesome!!

The Royals won, that was enough awesome for today!!!!!

Day 14 of awesome!

So, I'm a total nerd and I realize that but today's awesome is simply the fact that I get to work at a hospital everyday that saves lives and cares about its patients. I'm so proud to be a Research Medical Center employee but more than that, to work on a floor that does kidney transplants. I know that when a patient receives an organ there are things that can go wrong. But that doesn't stop it from being incredibly awesome to be a part of! I totally geek out when we get transplants on the floor. So, today's awesome was that I got to help save someone's life, albeit a small part, but a part nevertheless, an incredible feeling!

Day 13 of Awesome!!

So, today was an ok day. The end of the workday was a struggle...I was SO tired today!! But overall, not a bad day at all :)  My awesome today was just something really simple. Good people and strong coffee. It's amazing how when you are down or finding yourself in a momentary bad mood that someone can say something totally random just to make you smile or laugh, I realize that I'm surrounded by people like that. And that makes me one blessed girl! So, today's awesome was the awesome people that I am proud to call friends. 

Oh, and this puppy of mine cuddling with the remote is pretty awesome ;)

This weekend will be filled with lots of baseball awesomeness!!! Going to the 5 out of the last 8 Royals games to wrap up the home season. I'm always so sad to see the season end...but then it all starts again in February!!!

Day 12 of Awesome!!

Today will be a brief awesome summary, cause I'm exhausted!!!

Today I decided to grow out my hair for Locks of Love!!

It will be a long and trying process, I'm sure but I'm so excited!!! Can't wait to make someone's dream to have hair again come true!!! I just hope I truly have the patience. By my calculations for the rate of growth for my hair, I'm making one year from today, 9/12/12 the deadline for donating my hair!! Yay, so excited!!

The current length of my hair!! A long way to go...about 8 more inches at least!!!
